Tails & Trails
Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Tails & Trails. These Terms and Conditions are in place to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and smooth care of all dogs staying with us. By confirming a booking, you agree to the following terms.

1.Booking Confirmation

All boarding bookings must be confirmed in advance and are only secured once payment has been received in full.

Bookings are accepted subject to availability and suitability assessment.

Trial sessions may be required before boarding bookings are accepted, particularly for new dogs.

2. Payments

Full payment is required in advance for all boarding stays.

Failure to make payment by the requested date may result in the booking being released and offered to another client.

3.Cancellations, Refunds and Credits

If a boarding booking is cancelled more than 14 days before the scheduled start date, a credit for the full amount paid may be issued for future use.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the boarding start date are non refundable and no credit will be issued.

Credits are non transferable and must be used within 12 months unless otherwise agreed.

No cash refunds will be provided under any circumstances.

4. Drop Off and Collection Times

Drop off and collection times must be agreed in advance.

Late collections may incur additional charges.

Clients must ensure emergency contact details remain up to date throughout the booking period.

5. Vaccinations and Health Requirements

All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea, tick and worming treatments.

Owners must disclose any illness, injury, behavioural concerns, allergies, or medical conditions before boarding.

Dogs showing signs of contagious illness may be refused entry for the safety of other dogs in our care.

6. Behaviour and Socialisation

All dogs boarding with Tails & Trails must be safe to handle and able to mix appropriately within a home environment.

Any history of aggression, resource guarding, escape behaviour, or excessive anxiety must be disclosed before booking.

Failure to disclose behavioural concerns may result in the booking being terminated without refund or credit.

7. Veterinary Care

In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, veterinary treatment will be sought where necessary.

Owners authorise Tails & Trails to seek veterinary advice or treatment if they cannot be contacted immediately.

Any veterinary costs incurred during the booking remain the responsibility of the owner.

8. GPS Trackers and Personal Tracking Devices

For safety, insurance, and operational reasons, only GPS tracking devices supplied and managed by Tails & Trails may be used during a dog’s stay.

Personal tracking devices, including GPS collars, AirTags, or similar customer supplied tracking products, will not be used whilst dogs are in our care.

This helps ensure consistent tracking reliability, avoids interference between multiple devices, and allows us to manage location monitoring safely and effectively using a single approved system.

Any customer supplied tracking devices may be removed and safely stored for the duration of the stay.

9. Personal Belongings

Owners are welcome to provide personal items such as beds, blankets, or toys, however these are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

Tails & Trails cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings during boarding.

10. Photographs and Updates

Photos and updates may be sent during your dog’s stay where possible.

By boarding with Tails & Trails, owners consent to photographs of their dog being used on social media or promotional material unless requested otherwise in writing.

11. Refusal of Service

Tails & Trails reserves the right to refuse or end a booking at any time where a dog presents a safety risk, welfare concern, or where information provided by the owner is inaccurate or incomplete.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking, the owner confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
